Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 23, 2026
This policy describes how SnappyPie (“we”, “the app”) handles information when you use our iOS application and API at api.snappypie.app.
What we collect
- Images you submit for lessons — photos you capture or select are sent to our servers to generate explanations. We do not use them for advertising.
- Usage identifiers — a stable anonymous ID on your device helps enforce plan limits and sync subscription status with RevenueCat.
- Purchase data — Apple processes payments; RevenueCat provides subscription status we use to apply Plus/Pro limits. We do not store your full payment card details.
- Lesson history on device — saved lessons stay in local app storage unless you delete them.
How we use data
We use submitted images and prompts only to generate lessons, enforce monthly usage caps, prevent abuse, and improve reliability. We do not sell personal data.
Third parties
- OpenAI — processes lesson requests on our behalf under our API agreement.
- RevenueCat — subscription and entitlement management.
- Apple — App Store billing and distribution.
- Cloudflare — hosts our API and this website.
Retention
Server-side usage counters are kept as needed to enforce plan limits. We minimize retention of raw images where possible. Contact us to request deletion assistance.
Children
SnappyPie is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your choices
You can delete local lesson history in the app, revoke camera/photo permissions in iOS Settings, and manage subscriptions through Apple’s subscription settings or the in-app Customer Center.
